Pacific Capital Group founded Global Crossing in 1997 where Brown was member of its Board of Directors. Brown served in various capacities related to Pacific Capital Group investments, including serving on various boards and management roles. Pacific Capital Group pursued investments in the telecommunications, healthcare, real estate and entertainment industries. ![]() In 1990, he became executive vice president and chief financial officer, Sony Pictures Entertainment, the parent company to Columbia Pictures, Tri-Star Pictures, Merv Griffen Enterprises and Loews Theatres.įrom 1994 to 1998, Brown was managing director and chief financial officer, Pacific Capital Group, a Beverly Hills-based merchant banking firm. During Brown’s 25-year career with Price Waterhouse, he was the managing partner for the Southern California region and served a broad range of companies. Brown, a 1965 graduate of Lehigh University, started his professional career in Los Angeles with the international accounting firm of Price Waterhouse. The residence is the home of Abbott & Linda Brown, benefactors of the Abbott and Linda Brown Western Center for Adaptive Aquatic Therapy in the Department of Kinesiology at California State University, Northridge. The rough stone contemporary style home was built in 2011 on one of Santa Monica's prettiest streets, La Mesa Drive, a six-block long, curving street framed by a canopy of mature Moreton Bay fig trees. ![]()
